MOE Edusave Character Award(ECHA) 2025
What is ECHA?
The Edusave Character Award (ECHA), introduced by the Ministry of Education
(MOE) in 2012, recognises students who demonstrate exemplary character
and outstanding personal qualities through their behaviour and actions.
The award is part of MOE’s broader efforts to foster a caring, inclusive,
and cohesive society. It complements schools’ work in nurturing students
who are not only academically strong but also guided by sound values—active
contributors and concerned citizens.
Objectives of ECHA
• To emphasise the importance of character and values, on par with academic achievements.
• To recognise students who are role models in conduct and attitude, inspiring their peers.
