Make the Difference, A Hougean’s Way Of Life
Our LLP Programme: Make the Difference – A Hougean’s Way of Life
The Learning for Life Programme (LLP), Make the Difference – A Hougean’s Way of Life, is designed to nurture empowered student leaders who make a difference to their community.
Programme Objectives
1. Develop Empowered Leaders – Cultivate Community Youth Leaders grounded in our GREAT values: Gratitude, Respect, Empathy, Adaptability, and Trustworthiness.
2. Sustain Values Education – Provide a progressive, student-centric approach throughout secondary school to develop our students into confident leaders and active community builders who make a meaningful difference.
Our experiences are guided by the 3E framework, which focuses on:
Enriching Minds – Through the Leadership Challenge Model (LCM), students develop leadership skills and critical thinking.
Engaging Hands – Through class-based programmes, Values-in-Action (VIA) projects and leadership opportunities, students put their learning into practice.
Encouraging Hearts – Through recognition and affirmation, students develop empathy, confidence, and a commitment to serving others.
This holistic approach ensures that Hougeans not only grow as leaders but also as values-driven citizens ready to make a difference in their communities.
