GIRL GUIDES (1st Hougang Coy)
“LEAD WITH HEART, SERVE WITH PURPOSE”
At Hougang Secondary School, Girl Guides empowers girls to grow into confident, caring, and capable young women. Through hands-on activities like tent-pitching, outdoor cooking, gadget-making, and foot drills, Guides learn teamwork, resilience, and the spirit of “Be Prepared.”
They also earn proficiency badges such as Free Being Me, Craft, and First Aid, building creativity, confidence, and care for others.
Highlights include the 3D2N Annual Camp, North Division events, and the spirited Secondary One Orientation Campfire, where Guides lead songs and cheers that bring the school together.
Rooted in Hougang’s G.R.E.A.T values, Gratitude, Respect, Empathy, Adaptability, and Trustworthiness, our
Guides truly live the motto:
Once a Guide, Always a Guide.
